South Korea’s New Southern Policy was introduced by President Moon Ja-in in 2017 to deepen the country’s relations with ASEAN and India. As President Moon’s term comes to an end in 2022, questions are abound on the NSP’s relevance. Ms. Lee Chen Chen, Associate Director and Senior Fellow at the SIIA, presented at the 3rd ASEAN-ROK Think Tank Strategic Dialogue on 11 November 2021 where she touched on the relevance of South Korea’s New Southern Policy and the ASEAN-ROK Partnership.
