Asian governments today are increasingly committed to the goals of good governance and anti-corruption. Amidst the global economic crisis, many are rolling out stimulus packages to spend public monies to pump-prime their respective national economies and support economic growth.
To best facilitate the economic recovery process, these multi-billion stimulus packages need to be managed with an emphasis on good governance and integrity by both the public sector and by private sector corporations.
The event will look at the challenges facing the public and private sectors in Asia. The two-day event, organised by SIIA, will analyse and discuss the current practices and regulations use to combat corruption with both an outreach event targeted at corporate representatives who may wish to commit to the best applicable principles, and a closed door roundtable discussion among experts, policy-makers and corporation on the best current practices and examples.
