Many other cities in Asia and the Middle East are vying to catch up with and overtake Singapore. They are investing billions to make themselves attractive. Even well-established cities are reinventing themselves. We have to continue to learn from them and other vibrant cities, and reinvent ourselves to stay relevant and ahead of the competition.
We need to build on our strengths and make up for our weaknesses in order to build a world class distinctive global city. Where do we fall short? What more needs to be done?
Ms Grace Fu, Senior Minister of State, Ministry of National Development and Ministry of Education, spoke on the topic: "The Path Towards A Distinctive and Liveable City - Singapore's Challenges And Priorities". She discussed how organizations can play a role in realizing the shared vision to make Singapore a distinctive global city, a great place to live, work and play.
