Major tsunami damage in Japan after quake

An 8.9 magnitude earthquake off the northeast coast of Japan sent a 13-foot tsunami towards the mainland, washing away cars and demolishing buildings.

Large buildings shook violently around the country, including in Tokyo, where injuries were reported after the ceiling of a large hall collapsed.
