Updated On: Feb 10, 2011

Thailand and Cambodia are set to discuss their on-and-off border dispute with the UN Security Council next week. Deadly clashes had erupted last Friday in the contested jungle area.

Marty Natalegawa, Indonesia's foreign minister and the current ASEAN chair, had met with the two sides earlier this week. to mediate the conflict.

Cambodia has sought a United Nations buffer force to be installed at the area, while Thailand has complained that Cambodia is "internationalizing" the dispute.
