Vietnam gets aid from Japan for nuclear power

Vietnam has firmed up foreign aid for its civil nuclear energy program from Japan as well as Russia, announced Vietnam leaders after different meetings on the sidelines of the ASEAN Summit last weekend.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dung announced that Hanoi had decided to partner with Japan to build a second nuclear power plant and conduct rare-earth investigation, exploration, and processing in Vietnam.
