The ASEAN Regional Forum (ARF) and ASEAN Ministerial Meeting (AMM) are scheduled to be held in Hanoi, Vietnam from 19-23 July 2010. The current focus areas of the meetings are the sinking of the South Korean warship, regional architecture and non-proliferation.

Foreign ministers of ASEAN shared "deep concern" at the sinking of a South Korean warship, says a draft document which also calls for unimpeded aid access to Gaza. South Korea has said it wants ARF to condemn North Korea for the torpedo attack which broke the corvette in two in March with the loss of 46 lives.

The Minister for Foreign Affairs, George Yeo will lead the Singapore delegation to the 43rd ASEAN Ministerial Meeting and its related conferences in Hanoi.

In Hanoi, the ASEAN Foreign Ministers will continue their discussions on how the regional architecture should further evolve with ASEAN at its core, and review progress of the ASEAN Connectivity Master Plan.

The ministers "strongly condemned" a deadly May 31 Israeli military raid on an aid flotilla bound for the Gaza Strip.
