Public and private sector groups came together to discuss innovative solutions to tackle air pollution in Singapore and the region at the inaugural Clean Air Forum today at the Sands Expo & Convention Center. The Forum was organised jointly by the SIIA and National Environments Agency (NEA) and the Clean Air Initiative for Asian Cities (CAI-Asia), and was held in conjunction with the Clean Enviro Summit Singapore 2012.
With the theme “Innovative Solutions to Improve Air Quality among Asia’s Growing Cities,” the conference brought together 75 international, regional, and local experts from different sectors for a comprehensive discussion on the challenges and opportunities in improving air quality in Southeast Asia as well as to foster national and regional collaboration.
The event also marked the official launch of the Clean City Air Coalition (CCAC), which brings together like-minded partners from various industries to raise awareness of the need and importance of clean city air.
