SIIA Chairman Simon Tay comments on Singapore's Budget 2010 to Juliana Liu of the BBC.
Question: Is this the right time to withdraw stimulus measures?
SIIA Chairman Simon Tay:
"What's got to happen is that they've got to try to take some incentives... they've got to keep some things off the table. They've basically been subsidising jobs in Singapore, and this has actually led to less productivity. They've got to put onto the table news of incentives for people to restructure companies, re-jig the way people work, and the kind of job scope that they have."
