SIIA Chairman Simon Tay has been appointed Co-Chair of the Asia Society's Global Council.
He joins Ms. Kumi Sato, President, Cosmo Public Relations Corporation (Japan) and Mr. Pote Videt, Managing Director, Private Equity (Thailand) Security, Trustee Emeritus, Asia Society in co-chairing this distinguished group of senior leaders from business, the arts, academia, and civil society.
This international group of experts and thought leaders comprise of members from Afghanistan, Australia, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Canada, China, Hong Kong S.A.R., India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, New Zealand, Pakistan, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, Thailand, United States, Vietnam. They advise Asia Society Trustees and senior staff in the planning and program activities of Asia Society, and provide a unique global network of high-level experts with on-the-ground experience and perspectives.
Originally established in 1979, the Council is an important part of the global Asia Society network that includes Asia Society Centers and partner organizations. One such partner organisation is the Singapore Institute of International Affairs, which was recently ranked a top 15 think tank in Asia.
