30 Jul SIIA Chairman Simon Tay speaks on Green Growth and S’pore at Sustainable Banking Forum, Bangkok
SIIA Chairman Simon Tay spoke at the Sustainable Forum 2018 on 23 July 2018 in Bangkok, organised by the Bank of Thailand. Prof Tay appeared on a panel on “Financing while Preserving Environment”, commenting on Singapore’s early steps towards green growth in the financial sector.
While in Bangkok, SIIA staff also held meetings with private sector firms, NGOs, and intergovernmental bodies involved in sustainability work.

“Financing while Preserving Environment” panel at the Bank of Thailand’s Sustainable Banking Forum 2018. The forum brought together bankers, representatives from financial institutions, and other agencies to discuss good governance as well as environmental and social risk management.
SIIA Chairman Simon Tay comments on Singapore’s early steps towards promoting green finance, drawing on the SIIA’s work with the UN Environment Inquiry, supported by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS).
