We are searching for the best candidates for the following positions to support our management:

 

1.  Assistant Director (Sustainability)

 

Job Description
• Coordinate the Sustainability Programme, including organising external meetings and dialogues;
• Conduct research on various areas of focus and other pertinent issues, including development of programme proposals, special reports, newspaper commentaries, background documents, and updates to senior management. These reports and briefings are to provide analyses, evaluations and recommendations – whether to policy makers and experts on public issues, or as private advisory work for corporations;
• Drive outreach to sustainability stakeholders, both local and international, to build strong partnerships and for sponsorship engagement;
• Stay updated on key and emerging issues related to sustainable development and resource issues in ASEAN;
• Assist Chairman with research materials for events and speaking engagements, including preparation of talking points and presentations.

 

Requirements

• Have at least 3 years of experience in a related role. Interest and experience in environmental sustainability issues, corporate social responsibility, natural resources and/or ASEAN political economy are assets.
• Have a good Honours degree in any discipline;
• Strong writing, research and analytical skills;
• Good project and time management skills; displays initiative; a team player with good interpersonal and communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure, short deadlines and extra hours if needed on assignments;
• Able and willing to travel;
• Computer skills with proficient in MS Office applications and comfortable with social media;

2. Assistant Director (ASEAN)

 

Job Description
• Drive Special Reports and Briefings for the ASEAN Programme, under the guidance of chairman and/ or senior management, on key and emerging issues. These reports and briefings are to provide analyses, evaluation and recommendations – whether to policy makers and experts on public issues, or as private advisory work for corporations;
• Conduct research on key ASEAN countries such as Indonesia, Myanmar, Malaysia and Thailand and provide updates to senior management;
• Develop and write programme proposals, newspaper commentaries, magazine articles, event summaries, and other media;
• Conceptualise and coordinate ASEAN initiatives and events such as forums, conferences, and talks;
• Research and reach out to external stakeholders, both local and international, for partnerships and sponsorships of the ASEAN Programme;
• Assist Chairman and Directors with research material for events and speaking engagements, including preparation of talking points and presentations.

 

Requirements
• Have at least 3 years of related experience;
• Have a good Honours degree in any discipline;
• Excellent command of written and spoken English;
• Display strong analytical skills;
• Initiative, eye for details and a team player, practice good interpersonal communication skills;
• Ability to work under pressure, short deadlines and extra hours if needed on assignments;
• Computer skills with proficiency in MS Office applications and comfortable with social media;
