24 Feb Conference Highlights: 7th SDSWR (Agroforestry for Sustainability: Climate, Conservation and Communities in ASEAN)

The Singapore Dialogue on Sustainable World Resources (SDSWR) is a flagship event of the SIIA’s Sustainability programme. Into its 7th edition, the SDSWR focuses on issues related to the prevention and mitigation of transboundary haze, as well as sustainability issues in ASEAN’s agribusiness and forestry sectors.

In November last year, the 7th SDSWR was held thick in the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic while seeking to recover from its economic fallout. The event featured keynote speakers Ms. Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment, and Mr. Luhut Pandjaitan, Indonesia’s Coordinating Minister for Maritime Affairs and Investment, alongside other renown speakers from the public and private sectors.

Do keep a lookout for the 8th SDSWR, which is being scheduled for May 2021. This year, the Dialogue will continue to explore promising directions for ASEAN’s resource sector in a post-COVID-19 world, in the context of climate action. Watch this space for details.
